Welcome to APS 2023, a globally leading Aesthetic Surgery event hosted by Korean Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (KSAPS). The event will take place in Seoul, from April 1st to 2nd.

Over the last 33 years, the annual APS event has been innovating global Aesthetic Surgery scholars by covering latest breakthrough developments, techniques, and ideas. Not only does the event invite distinguished plastic surgeons around the world with their speeches and live surgeries, but it also holds several workshops that numerous experiences and professional ideas related advances are shared. On behalf of KSAPS, we would like to encourage your participations to discover and share experiences about up‐to‐dates aesthetic topics; participants can discuss the most recent advances in various fields of plastic surgery with special attentions to practical pearls and pitfalls.

Although the meeting will be held in an offline format in spite of the COVID-19, all participants will be able to have fruitful scientific programs that are motivating and inspiring. We are determined that this two-day conference will open new frontiers for better care to the patients.

We truly look forward to welcoming all the participants in Seoul with breathtaking scenery of Han River.

Greetings from the KSAPS president

I’m so happy to share the news of APS2023 with all the members of the KSAPS and overseas plastic surgeons. In coming April, APS2023 which is the official annual international meeting of KSAPS will be held as our first full in-person annual meeting since Covid-19 outbreak. Covid-19 forced us to delay or even cancel our annual meetings for three years. The format of the meetings was transformed on-line based to adapt to the new and awkward environments which demanded tremendous efforts and patience from the organizers of the meetings such as the former president of the KSAPS, the academic committee chair, the board members of the KSAPS and many unsung secretaries. The speakers were also demanded to change their way of presentation. They were asked to talk to cameras, not to real audiences which caused confusions and embarrassments. The audiences had to learn how to access to video communication system and ask questions by sending text messages. We have been pretty much adapted to these changes and even enjoyed the convenience of the on-line based academic activities. However, the convenient meeting format lacked humane contacts in individual level. We haven’t seen and talked to each other too long period of time.

We are finally be able to hold an in-person meeting we have been waiting for. APS2023 will be just like the meeting we used to hold 4 years ago. The speakers will talk directly to the audiences and discussions will be made on the very spot. We can see the friends from all corners of the country or from overseas. Elegant dinner parties will be hosted and bustling alumni meetings will also take places here and there. All academic associations of our societies are ready to organize brilliant sessions with cutting edge contents. The APS2023 will definitely be the most attractive aesthetic plastic surgery meeting in the globe, and all the participants will be mesmerized by the joy of being a part of the first massive in-person event. I’d like to invite all the members of KSAPS and overseas friends to join us. Don’t miss the chance of enjoying the world-class festival of aesthetic plastic surgery happening in the most energetic and dynamic city on the globe.

I can’t wait to see all of you enjoy conference and have conversations just like before.

I’d like to express my respect to the speakers at APS 2023 for their devoting themselves to new surgical techniques, academic research, medical treatment and exploring activities despite the Covid-19 situation.
